Tom’s Priorities Citywide

Create A Downtown Destination District

Tom led the conversation to change the downtown zoning district from a TOD high-rise condos to Downtown dinning & entertainment district. Tom wants to create el fresco dinning, live entertainment, active art installations, unique gift shops and “fishing village themed restaurants."

“All great downtowns have great public spaces”
Tom Ramiccio.

Improve Image of City

Create and implement consistent advertising, marketing, and public relations to better inform the community about the exciting future of our city.

Tom will complete our Town Square Vision by ending the JKM litigation. Attract a world class Boutique Hotel and build a parking garage for City employees, residents, and visitors.

Signature Special Events & Festivals

Improve our image through City Sponsored “Signature Special Events.” Bring back Piratefest in 2023 and fund a series of annual events that will attract hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors to our downtown destination district. Using funding from CRA, City, and corporate title sponsors.

Public Safety

Support our first responders through adequate funding. It is essential that we "Keep Boynton Police Department & Fire.” The Community Policing model is a must! We must also rebuild community trust through clear communication.

Neighborhood Pocket Parks

Create a network of neighborhood pocket parks throughout our 4 districts. These neighborhood parks create identity and green spaces for children to play with friends.

Boynton Beach Station

Model Block Program

Provide funding through the CRA to begin a “model block program” that includes: paint and façade improvements, upgrade windows and doors, neighborhood signage, traffic calming, neighborhood parks, improve storm drainage, and repave city streets.

Traffic Calming for safer neighborhoods

Develop traffic calming options for residents & neighborhoods. For example: speed bumps, speed tables, rumble strips, narrowing roadway, bailouts, Round-a-bouts, landscaping along mediums, and increased patrols.

Tom’s District 4 Priorities

Implement Eco Park

Tom has proven his commitment to our environment by leading the effort to restore the quality of our water in the Lake Worth Lagoon by planting 40 acres of Mangroves and Johnson sea grass for manatees and wading birds. Water quality has improved between the Boynton inlet and West Palm Beach because of Tom’s efforts. Now let’s support Toms Eco Park vision! This Eco Park concept needs a little adjustment making it an environmental resource used by all residents and children learning about sustainability and the environment.

Traffic Calming on Lawrence Rd

The speeding on Lawrence Rd, Hypoluxo Rd, Congress Ave, and Gateway must end. Let’s realign and narrow roadway back to a neighborhood street instead of a thoroughfare with racing vehicles. It’s not safe for our children.

Boynton Mall Revitalization

The Boynton mall is an outdated use that is old and tired. It is time to rethink the outdated mall paradigm and refocus the space around unique shopping and dining experiences. It is essential that we attract one-of-a-kind establishments that highlight our cities diverse culture and rich heritage.

District 4

Green Market

Our neighborhoods would love to have our own “Green market” where we can go with friends and family to buy fresh produce, fruit, hand crafted bread, fresh pasta, imported cheeses and more. Local flowers, orchids and local food artisans will abound.

Safeguard Meadows & Nautica Sound

Ensure that NO Development occurs on the preserved 5 acres intended for neighborhood greenspace located between Nautica & Meadows HOA.

Homeowners Association Council - District 4

Create an oversight committee made up of all the HOAs in the district. Share vendor information, industry standards, and best practices. Good communication between associations can unite us in solving some nagging traffic and development issues.
